Calculate your batch
The ordinary Cake recipe in this reference produces one Cake from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey. Multiply each ingredient by the number of Cakes you want to make.
For ten Cakes, that means 50 Flour, 80 Red Berries, 70 Milk, 80 Eggs and 20 Honey. If you mill all of that Flour yourself, you need 150 Wheat because each Flour uses three Wheat.
Count what you already have before collecting anything. Suppose you want ten Cakes and already own 20 Flour and 30 Wheat. You still need to make 30 Flour. That takes 90 Wheat in total, of which 30 is already in storage, leaving 60 Wheat to obtain. Keep the owned Flour intact in the calculation; do not count it as Wheat and subtract it twice.
If you already have finished Cakes, decide whether your target means a total in storage or an additional batch. The Nexus planner treats its target as the total you want to possess: entering two owned Cakes against a target of ten leaves eight to make.
Set up the production chain
A Mill processes Wheat into Flour with a Watering Pal. A Cooking Pot or a suitable kitchen prepares the Cake; provide a Kindling Pal for cooking. Check that the recipe is available at your chosen station before stocking it.
Growing ingredients and processing them are different jobs. A plantation supply can be healthy while the Mill waits for a suitable worker. Check each stage when production stalls: raw ingredient stock, station accessibility, assigned work and output collection.
Before increasing your batch, make sure your base can supply ingredients regularly. Keep the intended Cake ingredients accounted for so you can tell whether the next bottleneck is farming, ranch production or cooking.
Decide how to obtain each ingredient
Red Berries can come from gathering or a Berry Plantation. Wheat can be grown at a Wheat Plantation and then milled. For repeat ranch supplies, Chikipi provides Eggs, Mozzarina provides Milk, and Beegarde provides Honey. Capturing or defeating some Pals provides another source of ingredients; the linked item references show the drop entries included in this collection.
Choose an approach that fits what you already have. A ranch setup may suit repeated breeding, while gathering or an available merchant may help finish a small batch. A recipe breakdown is a statement of requirements, not proof that crafting every intermediate yourself is the best use of your time.
In the planner, marking an intermediate as “obtain directly” stops expansion at that item. If you will obtain Flour elsewhere, your checklist can ask for missing Flour instead of Wheat. It does not assume a price or promise a particular merchant has stock.
Make a workable checklist
Keep gathering and crafting steps separate. First obtain the missing raw materials. Then produce the intermediates, then the Cakes. When several targets share a material, total their requirements before allocating your stored supply.
Recipes that produce several units need whole batches. If an item is made in tens and you need eleven, two batches are required; record the extra nine as leftovers for a later plan. The same idea applies across the material planner, even though ordinary Cake and Flour are made one at a time.
Supply the farm and review the result
Move the Cake needed for your attempts into the Breeding Farm's chest. Hatch and inspect offspring before marking a breeding milestone complete. Producing a required gender or desired passives can take more attempts than a species route's minimum.
After the session, update the counts you actually possess. Nexus does not deduct items from the game or infer your inventory from a checked box. Save a goal if you want a persistent checklist and notes, or keep reading and follow the method independently.
