# Additional permissions and scope

These notes are granted by the copyright holder, DSSidhu2206. They sit on top of the
PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 in `LICENSE`. They only add permission. They take
nothing away, and where anything here would conflict with the base license, the more
permissive reading applies.

## Required notice

Under the Notices section of the base license, the following line is provided with the
software and must travel with any copy or part of it:

## What the licence covers

The licence covers the toolkit only. That means the generator scripts, the verifier, the
test harnesses, the mechanics engine, the schema and registry structure, and the
documentation.

It does not cover the underlying Palworld game data that the toolkit produces. That data
belongs to Pocketpair. See `NOTICE.md`.

## Additional permission for free projects that earn money

The base license treats commercial purposes as not permitted. The copyright holder grants
an extra permission that narrows what counts as commercial for this project.

You may use this toolkit in a project that is free for its users, even when that project
earns money in the following ways:

- It displays advertising.
- It accepts donations, tips, or voluntary contributions.
- It has a membership or supporter tier that funds the project, as long as the project
  itself stays usable for free without paying.

For this permission only, none of the above counts as a commercial purpose.

This permission exists because most community tools for this game are free to use and are
funded by ads or donations. Blocking those would defeat the point of publishing this.

## What is still not allowed

Selling. You may not sell this toolkit or the data in it, you may not charge for access to
it, and you may not put it or anything built on it behind a payment that is required in
order to use it.
