Choose your parents
To breed Anubis, start with a parent combination verified for the version you are playing. In the 1.0 snapshot used here, Orserk and Wumpo produce Anubis when one parent is male and the other female. This is one valid pair, not a claim that it is the earliest or easiest pair to acquire.
Check your Palbox before committing to a route. Write down each candidate's species and gender. Two useful species are not enough if both individuals have the same gender. Keep parents you already own: breeding does not consume them, so an existing pair can support later attempts.
Older combinations can change between major versions. The same snapshot gives Bushi and Penking → Sibelyx, so an older Anubis walkthrough using that pair should not be applied to this dataset. If your installed version differs, check its results before investing in a long route.
If you do not own a complete direct pair, work backwards. Look for a pair that produces a missing parent, then check whether your existing Pals can supply that earlier generation. Record every intermediate species and the gender it must have for the following step. Keep a second candidate route if one parent is inconvenient to obtain.
Prepare the breeding setup
You need a Breeding Farm, compatible parents, a supply of Cake and a way to hatch the resulting eggs. The farm becomes available at level 19 in the current reference; confirm its technology and construction requirements in your own build before gathering materials.
Assign a male and female to the farm and place Cake in its associated chest. Ordinary breeding consumes Cake for egg production. Collect the egg, hatch it and inspect the result before assigning it to the next generation. An intermediate offspring may have the right species but the wrong gender for your chosen next pairing, so budget room for repeated attempts.
For a route with several generations, finish the required parent for one step before treating the next step as ready. Give useful offspring recognizable names or keep a written note of their intended role. This avoids accidentally moving a needed parent into a different team or base job.
Budget the supplies
One Cake recipe uses 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey. Flour requires three Wheat per unit in this snapshot. That makes 15 Wheat for the Flour in one Cake when you start with none.
Prepare a small batch, validate the result in your world, and then scale production. A minimum egg count from a species route is not an estimate of how many attempts you will need for genders, passives or other traits.

Keep species and passives separate
Getting an Anubis and getting the Anubis you ultimately want are separate milestones. A species pairing tells you the species outcome. It does not guarantee that an offspring inherits every passive you want.
Record desired passives as a wishlist. Note which parents carry each one, and inspect every useful hatch. The Nexus planner can highlight desired passives recorded on the ancestors of its example route; that is a record of your inputs, not an inheritance probability or proof that the route will produce that combination.
If your immediate goal is simply to add Anubis to your base, finish that goal first. Refining a specialist can be a separate plan with its own supply budget.
Finish and record the result
When an offspring meets your current target, mark that milestone complete. Keep any remaining Cake, materials and reusable parents in your notes for the next plan. A saved Nexus checklist is manual: it does not read your Palbox or change anything in the game.
